Alumni Profile: Macchi Brings Digital Media Skills to KICKTV, Major League Soccer

While office productivity may drop as the United States Men’s National Team takes on Belgium in the knockout round of the 2014 World Cup on July 1, with soccer fans sneaking glances during the workday and others heading home early, it’s Chris Macchi’s job to watch the game.

Macchi ’12, who studied biology and played on the men’s soccer team at Arcadia, is a media coordinator with Major League Soccer. After interning with Arcadia’s Office of University Communications and with KICKTV, Macchi took the position at MLS in September 2013.

In an interview, Macchi discusses what it’s like to be a student-athlete, how he landed an internship with KICKTV, and why there’s never been a more exciting time to work in the soccer world.
